Genealogical Notes:-

(1). Forthington is an old form of 'Fordington'

(2). John MORGAN was buried at St Michael's Church Strinsford (2 miles from Dorchester) on 30th May 1776 when his home parish was given as being that of Fordington.

(3). I have not so far been able to locate the marriage of John MORGAN to his wife Jane, or the baptism of his son John mentioned in the Will which if he was the eldest child was likely to be in his wife's parish. His son John is almost certainly the John MORGAN that married Dorothy SPRATT at Fordington on 10th July 1777. The parish registers for Fordington have baptisms for the following 4 children of thiers (1) Thomas Cox Morgan bap 19th Sep 1750 (2) Ann Morgan bap 12th Sep 1751 (3) Ann Morgan bap 9th May 1753 & buried at Stinsford on 13th January 1772 (4) Mary Morgan bap 27th May 1755

(4) His widow Jane was buried at Stinsford on 13th August 1799 when she was described as a widow from Fordington
