Will of William CRIBB of Wareham, Dorset

In the name of God Amen I William CRIBB of Wareham in the County of Dorset Baker being in health of Body, And of sound and disposing mind and memory (and considering my Mortality) do make constitute ordain and appoint this to be my Last Will and Testament: Hereby revoking & making void all other will or wills, or any other bequests of any kind or nature whatsoever, by me heretofore made done or Executed as my last Will etc.

And First I give and bequeath to my Loving Wife Ann CRIBB the whole of what I am possessed of at the time of my death whether in Estates of Land, or Leaseholds, Houses, money, Plate, money due, on bond or bonds, note or notes of hand and other debts ,as also all my Books, wearing apparel, Bedding, and all other my household Goods whatsoever and wheresoever found, everything I leave behind me at the time of my death movable and imovable, For her support and maintenance during the time of her Widdowhood, With full power to dispose of the same either by Will or otherwise, at the time of her second Marriage or Death amongst my children and Grandchildren that may be then living according to her discretion.

And as the principal part of what I now possess in houses money or lands is already settled by me and my Wife, how it is to be disposed of after our deaths by a family settlement already made and signed by us My will is that after my Wives second Marriage or death my daughter Mary shall have and enjoy my Living at Morden (near Ridway) called or known by the name of Coxes Living of late Henry DRAX Esq and now lett to Richard MORRIS, Also the Meadow or moor on the north side of the same (& sepperated from the said Living by the mill stream) bought also of the said late Henry DRAX Esq and now let to the Widdow Mary BEZANT, to be enjoyed by her and her child and children during the time to come on the Lease, but if it shall so happen that my Daughter Mary should die either sole or married, before her Mother, and leave no child; Then my Will is that my Daughter Ann LAMB and her Heirs shall have & enjoy the said Living in Morden meddow during the remainder of the Term then to come on the Lease

And I do nominate Ordain constitute & appoint my beloved Wife Ann CRIBB to be my Whole & sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament this first day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine   Wm CRIBB
