The Last Will and Testament of Giles MICHELL of the parish of Hazelbury Briant in the County of Dorset, Yeoman is as follows.
First, I will that my body be decently buried at the discretion and expense of my Executrix and as to my Estate of inheritance, lands, tenements, goods and chattels, rights and credits of what kind or quality soever in the said parish of Hazelbury Briant or wheresoever else they are or shall be found.

I give, devise and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary MICHELL, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever (subject to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses) whom I make sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament and revoking all former Wills by me made, do declare this only to be my Last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and forty three.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the Testator, Giles MICHELL, to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who subscribed our names as witnesses, in the presence of the said Testator.

The within written Will of Giles MITCHELL late of Hazelbury Bryan in the County and Archdeaconry of Dorset deceased, was proved on the oath of Mary MITCHELL, the widow and relict of the said deceased and sole Executrix within named, to whom Administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased was granted, she being first sworn upon the Holy Evangelist faithfully to administer the same, also to make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular, the said goods, chattels and credits and to exhibit the same into the Registry of the Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Dorset aforesaid and to pass a just account thereon when thereto lawfully required.
