8th Jan 1686.
This is the Last Will and Testament of I, William BURGE of the parish of Hazelbury Bryan Dorset and I appoint my son,
Morris BURGE to be my Executor.
I leave and bequeath yeares wch above is already given to my brother, Thomas LAURANCE aforesaid for ever, the yearly rent thereof to be distributed yearly on the first day of November by the Minister of Overseers of the said parish of Rampisham to poore, aged, impotent persons of the said parish of Rampisham and I desire the Minister and Overseers of ye said Rampisham to let the said estate and to make the most of it soe that the port may not be defrauded.
Item-I give and bequeath unto my cozen Christian RICCARD of Rampisham aforesaid, the full sume of fifty pounds of lawfull English money, to be paid by my Executor, unto the said Christian or her assigns in five years next after my decease.
Item-I give and bequeath unto my grandson William WARREN, son of
Edmund WARREN of Rampisham aforesaid the full sum of tenn pounds of like lawfull money, to be paid to the said
William WARREN or his assignes by my Executors in tenn yeares next after my decease.
Item-I give and bequeath unto my godson, John RICCARD, son of
Walter RICCARD of Stepleton in the county, aforesaid Yeoman, the sume of tenn pounds, to be paid to the said
John RICCARD or his assignes by my Executor in five yeares next after my decease.
Item-I give unto the Parish Church of Rampisham aforesaid, five pounds of lawfull English money to be paid in one yeares time next after my decease.
