An Inventory of ye Goods & Chattells of Richard BARTLETT late of Fordington
seen taken and appraised this 29th day October 1679 by us Ambrose HUNT and Frances VELLENS

one fluke bed, one bolster, one pillow, a paire of sheets, one paire of blankets, one rugg, with curtains [1-10s-0d]

one chest, one coffer [0.5s.0d]

two puter [pewter] dishes [0.2s.0d]

one brass bibell [bible] one little brass crok [0.10s 0d]

one long trondell two old toubs [tubs] with other lumber [0.10s.4d]

of money oppon [upon] bond forty four pound [44.00.0.d]

of his wearing apparell [2.0s0d]

Sum is [48.17.4d]

Genealogical Notes:-

(1). Unfortunately most of the burials record for Fordington for the year 1679 are missing so we do not have his burial. Also as an inventory was drawn up this was probably associated with a Letter of Administration suggesting that he died intestate. This also however does not seem to have survived so we do not know who was granted administration of his estate.

(2). An Ambrose Hunt of Fordington left a Will in 1681 which has still to be transcribed (Feb 2011)
