Will of Ann NEWELL of Pimperne, Dorset

The last Will and Testament of me Ann NEWELL of Pimpern in the County of Dorsett Widow made this Third Day of July in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Sixty Two being in health of Body and of a sound mind and memory thanks be to God for the same

First I will that my Depts and Funeral Expences to be paid and Discharged

Item I give unto Thomas James GEORGE and John TORVELL the Sonne of Thomas TORVELL the sum of Five Pounds each to be paid unto them within Twelve Months after my Decease

Item I give unto my Nieces Mary and Ann the daughters of Joseph RANDALL the sum of Five Pounds each to be paid unto them within Twelve Months after my Decease and also my Weding Ring and a Mourning Ring

Item I give unto Mary the daughter of Elizabeth HARVEY the sum of Five Pounds to be paid unto her within Twelve Months after my Decease

Item I give unto the Poor of the Parish of Pimpern the sum of Fifty Shillings also the rest and residue of my Estate whatsoever I give unto Mary the Daughter of my Nephew Harry RANDALL and Betty the Daughter of Stephen DOBLE whom I do hereby make equal Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament and I appoint Mr Matthew MILLER and Mr John WITHERS Trustees for the sd Mary the Daughter of Harry RANDALL and Betty the Daughter of Stephen DOBLE till they shall attaining the Age of Twenty One Years and if the sd Mary the Daughter of Harry RANDALL should die before she attain the Age of Twenty One Years then her Part is to go to and be equally divided between the above named Mary and Ann the daughters of Joseph RANDALL and if the sd Betty the Daughter of Stephen DOBLE should happen to die before she attain the Age of Twenty One Years then her Part is to go to her Mother and I do hereby revoke and make void all other Former Wills by me any ways made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year above Written Signed Sealed and Declared to be the last Will and Testament of Ann NEWELL in the Presence of The Mark X of Catharine YOUNG Matt: HARDING Witness Thomas TORVELL & Mary HARVEY within named are both dead since I executed this my last Will and Testament I by this Codicil thereunto revoke the several Legacys of five pounds therein designed to be left to them the said Thomas TORVELL & Mary HARVEY and leave the farther sum of five pounds each to Mary & Ann the Daughters of Joseph RANDALL therein named And I also appoint William FRY, Yeoman, to act together with Mr John WITHERS in the room of Mr Matthew MILLER whose nomination I hereby revoke

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this thirteenth day of May 1765 Ann NEWELL
