Castle Lane at the junction of Lower Street. The building on the left is the Royal Oak. These two young people are stood at the grave of their 6x great grand father Roger Ridout, died 1811. A story about Roger Ridout and a copy of the grave stone appears in Roger Guttridges book Dorset Smugglers

Monument to Agnes Mary RIDOUT, died 25th April 1912 Monument to Edwin RIDOUT, died 4th October 1929.
Annie Ridout born 28th Feb 1862, daughter of Tom and Sarah Ridout (formerly ROSE) in Okeford Fitzpaine. She was baptized 6th April 1862 at St Michaels (now St Andrews) Parish Church. She married Henry Rose of Broad Oak at St Mary's Parish Church, Sturminster Newton July 4th 1892 and died in Kimpton Hapshire 11th May 1941. Photo circa 1910 Annie with her youngest daughter Ena Louisa Rose. Their ages were 65 and 21 and the photo dates to 1927.
