Transcribed from Volume 6 of 'Dorset Parish Registers, Marriages' edited by W P W Phillimore & Edmund Nevill and published in 1912
Note. Vol. 1. measures 11 1/2 in. by 8in., on 30 parchment pages, the entries almost illegible before 1690. Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, intermixed throughout book. It covers the period 1673 to 1731.
Vol. 2. measures 12in. by 7in. and contains 32 pages, only 2 of which are occupied by Marriages. It is in parchment, fair condition, but nearly a page cut out after 16 Jul 1753.
Vol. 3. contains 3 Baptisms and Burials only.
Vol. 4. measures 15in. by 9 3/4in. Its condition is good. It is of paper, the usual printed forms, and is bound in a parchment cover. There are 26 1/2 pages, and covers the period 1756 to 1812.
All the entries were transcribed by the Rev. Henry Morland, Rector of Alton Pancras, and are now printed under his supervision.
